About Anthony

Fourteen years ago I was a recent graduate of U.C. Santa Cruz filled with anxiety about what I was going to do with my life. Unsure what to do with a degree in sociology, the one thing that I was sure about was that I loved photography.

In 2004 I was lucky enough to land an internship at Alameda News Group. This led to a staff photographer position at the Bend Bulletin in Bend, Oregon.  For four years I was fortunate enough to photograph life in Central Oregon - rodeos, forest fires, hot air balloon festivals, professional athletes and a plethora of other fascinating subjects.

After four years of country living, I decided to move back to the San Francisco Bay Area. I spent the next 10 years working as a freelance photographer, specializing in editorial, wedding, and architecture photography.

While  my adventures in photography have led me to an eclectic mix of subjects and shoots, the common thread through them all was a focus on storytelling. Whether I am photographing a wedding, a big fancy house on a hill, or a product shoot - my goal is to tell the essential story of my subject.
